Calypso was a nymph in Greek mythology who lived on a
mythical island and sidetracked Odysseus on his way home
from the Trojan wars. She is, by some accounts, the
Goddess of Silence but Homer reported her singing with a
sweet voice.
My Orientals are not silent or sweet-voiced. They are
bold, brassy, brazen, big-voiced and boisterous.
